Studlagil Basalt

Iceland on 35mm

I brought my Nikon FE2 along, on this recent adventure, to make some film images. All photographs in this collection were made on Kodak Ektar 100 35mm film. Making photographs with a film camera was a simple and enjoyable manual focus / aperture ring experience that always takes me back in time. I have realized an appealing artistic quality inherent to the 35mm format which is found in its "miniatureness." As of late, I find myself coming full circle to the 35mm format, when shooting film. I began my journey in photography with a 35mm camera and I have discovered a new found place for its distinguishing artistic vibe as an alternative medium.
