Garden Of Eden

A new image with a nostalgic camera

Nana's old Argus Super Seventy - Five 620 camera
Kodak Ektachrome 100S

While looking for pictures one fine spring day I came across this discrete and tastefully done sculpture in the "Garden of Eden" section of Ladew Gardens. The azaleas were in peak bloom and this scene presented the best photo op of the day. I made the exposure with the camera held upsidedown over my head to get the composition just right. The dark discoloration on the figures here symbolizes, to me, the corruption of sin in the man and woman's fall from innocence.

Made this photograph of my sister many years ago. It was a photography school assignment to shoot a ghost image shot. I had this idea come to mind of a departing spirit at the moment of death and made this double exposure film image on Kodak Panatomic X, now remastered with digital editing.
